Mistake # 44: Don’t take showers

October 12, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I don’t mean this in the literal sense. What I am referring to is that there is so much that happens in a day that it is hard to step back and reflect on particular trends.

I realize that we are experiencing an economic downturn and that the trend is spiraling sales. (I refuse to write about the impact on the economy right now. I’m going to leave that to others!) But, there needs to be a way to keep sales at a constant pace (flat, if nothing else!). Most workers will be distracted with the thought of what might happen, rather than what they should be currently focusing on, selling, and productivity overall.

So, take showers. Think. Be flexible. And stay focused. This is not a time to focus on the negative aspects. This is the time to consider new strategies and how to build your sales. You know where I’ll be in the morning…
